Virtual EMDR Therapy in Texas
In-Person in Aledo & Keller

About me...
Healing from trauma requires more than coping skills. It requires feeling safe enough to process what your nervous system has been carrying.

I’m Kathryn West, a Licensed Professional Counselor providing trauma-focused therapy for those in Keller and Aledo, Texas, as well as virtual therapy across the state.

I specialize in trauma counseling, particularly for individuals located in Aledo, Tx and Keller, TX.
At KLW Counseling, I offer trauma-focused therapy including EMDR to help clients move past their challenges. Many clients from Keller and surrounding areas, including Aledo, seek my services to address anxiety, intrusive memories, and other trauma-related struggles.

My approach is steady, structured, and compassionate. I believe meaningful trauma work happens when you feel both supported and appropriately challenged. Therapy with me is collaborative and paced intentionally, allowing your nervous system to move from reactivity toward regulation and clarity.

As a private-pay practice, I am able to provide focused, individualized care without the limitations of insurance requirements. This allows us to prioritize depth, confidentiality, and long-term healing rather than short-term symptom management.
In addition to trauma-focused EMDR therapy, I provide court-ordered counseling services. Court-involved therapy requires clarity, structure, and documentation, and I maintain clear expectations regarding attendance, participation, and reporting requirements. My role is to provide clinically sound treatment while maintaining professional boundaries aligned with legal obligations.
While I have experience working with families and adolescents, my private practice is primarily focused on trauma-informed work with those seeking intentional, structured therapy.
If you are looking for specialized trauma therapy or court-ordered counseling in the Tarrant County or Parker County area, I welcome you to reach out to learn more about next steps.
Policies....
KLW Counseling is a private-pay practice.

Working outside of insurance allows your therapy to remain confidential, flexible, and tailored entirely to your needs — without required diagnoses, session limits, or treatment restrictions.

This structure supports deeper trauma-focused work, including EMDR, at a pace that honors your nervous system.
If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill for potential reimbursement. I encourage you to contact your insurance provider to learn more about your coverage.

Individual therapy sessions are $200 per 50-minute session while court ordered therapy sessions and EMDR sessions are $250 per 50-minute session.

In addition to standard therapy sessions, limited 4-hour EMDR intensive sessions are available for clients who would benefit from extended, focused trauma processing work. Intensives allow for deeper therapeutic momentum while maintaining a carefully paced, trauma-informed approach.
These sessions are offered on a limited basis and are scheduled individually after determining clinical appropriateness.
Fee: $1,200 for a 4-hour intensive session.
Please contact the office directly to discuss availability and scheduling.

Payment is due at the time of service and may be made by debit, credit, HSA, or cash through the secure client portal.

In the event of inclement weather or school closures (Aledo ISD), in-person sessions will transition to secure telehealth for that day. A link will be sent prior to your scheduled session time.
