LEARN MORE ABOUT ME
Welcome — I’m so glad you’re here.
I’m Kathryn West, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I want to personally welcome you to a space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. Reaching out for help isn’t always easy, and if you’re here, you’ve already taken a brave first step.
In my work, I’ve walked alongside individuals and families navigating some of life’s most difficult and painful seasons — whether it’s the weight of trauma, the challenges of parenting, the ache of anxiety or depression, or family dynamics that just feel stuck. My goal is to come alongside you with compassion, expertise, and care, offering support that’s rooted in trust, connection, and hope.
I hold a Master’s degree in Professional and School Counseling from LeTourneau University, and I’m trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care. I also offer Equine-Assisted Therapy when appropriate, providing a unique and powerful avenue for growth and healing.
I work with clients across the lifespan — children as young as 4, teens, adults, and families. Many of my clients come to me struggling with emotional pain, behavioral challenges, or difficult life transitions. Some have been referred for court-ordered counseling, while others are simply looking for a fresh start or a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships.
No matter your reason for seeking therapy, I want you to know this: you are not alone. I believe healing begins in the context of safe, nurturing relationships — and that when we address the whole person, real and lasting change is possible.
Here, you’ll find a calm, nonjudgmental space where we work together at your pace. Whether we’re helping a child manage big feelings, supporting a family through conflict, or unpacking trauma from the past, I’ll be right beside you every step of the way.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me and my practice. I’d be honored to walk with you on your journey toward healing and wholeness.

My fee is $150 per 50-minute session. I know that choosing to invest in therapy is both a personal and financial decision, and I’m honored to be part of your journey. My hope is to offer a space where you feel supported, heard, and empowered every step of the way.
I don’t work directly with insurance companies, and I want to share a bit about why. In order to use insurance, therapists are typically required to provide a mental health diagnosis and sometimes justify the need for continued treatment. This can place limitations on your care and compromise your privacy. By working outside of insurance, we’re free to focus on what matters most—your healing, growth, and goals—without added pressure or labels.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I’m happy to provide a monthly superbill that you can submit for possible reimbursement. Every plan is different, so it may be helpful to check with your provider about what they offer.
If you have any questions about payment or want to explore what’s possible, please reach out. I’m here to help you feel informed and supported in whatever choice is best for you.
Payments may be made by cash, debit, credit, or HSA
at the beginning of your session or prior to your session through the online portal.
Cancellations are required to be completed 24 hours prior to the set appointment. Should an individual not cancel 24 hours prior
to the appointment and/or not show up, they will be billed for the full cost of the appointment.
